The material has good strength and bending properties.

Filling of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with wollastonite gives to a composite material and details produced from it increased mechanical characteristics, stability of sizes, strength and firmness to scratching.

In some cases the material can be used as a substitute for the items produced from metal or rubber and some other materials.

The polymer material is not subject to corrosion unlike metal, it is stable to the effect of abrasives.

The material, on experimental data, has relatively low factor of friction on rubber (0,35) in comparison with friction of a pair rubber on rubber (0,5-0,6), and, hence, it has much bigger service life in comparison with rubber due to considerably lower deterioration of the material.

The given material has higher strength properties at bending in comparison with textolite. Durability at bending for this composite material is 26,0 MPa while textolite’s durability at bending is 12-16 MPa.
